Trailer for Brutal New Netflix Action Film ‘The Night Comes for Us’

brutal action movies

The Raid (2011) stars Joe Taslim and Iko Uwais reunite for the upcoming brutal action-thriller The Night Comes for Us, exclusively on Netflix.

An elite assassin is hunted down by murderous Triad gangsters after sparing the life of a girl during a massacre.

Just that synopsis alone has blood, death and violence written all over it.

Needless to say, the trailer for Timo Tjahjanto’s The Night Comes for Us features all of the above.

For the unaware, Tjahjanto is one half of the directing duo behind the violent films Killers (2014) and Headshot (2016), both of which were excellent action-thrillers.

Here, Tjahjanto directs action superstars Joe Taslim and Iko Uwais, who are gracing the screen together since Gareth Evans’ breakout hit The Raid.

Much like the director’s other films, The Night Comes for Us looks to be more of an action extravaganza than anything else, and in the style that action-fans crave.

It’s a nice change of pace from most of the watered-down mainstream action films we get out of Hollywood these days.

Sometimes film fans just want unadulterated, bloody violence in their movies, which is why directors like Timo Tjahjanto exist.

The film is streaming exclusively on Netflix and is due out on 19 October 2018.
