‘The Night House’ Sees Rebecca Hall Uncover a Disturbing Mystery

Rebecca Hall stars in the creepy new horror film The Night House, which sees a widowed woman uncover some dark secrets about her late husband.

Hall plays Beth, a woman who recently lost her husband to suicide and is now left to uncover the secrets of his past at the lakeside house he built for them.

As she does so, she’ll have to cope with the nightmares and ghostly visions that are haunting her.

The Night House comes to us from director David Bruckner, who previously directed The Ritual (2017) for Netflix, an underrated must-see horror film.

This film feels significantly larger with 20th Century Studios behind its distribution (aka Disney), so it will be interesting to see how Bruckner handles a bigger-scale project.

The Night House looks like a combination between a haunted house, ghost story, and psychological horror film based on the trailer, and it seems like the filmmakers have hit the right tone.

While there doesn’t appear to be anything too unique about it, it looks unsettling enough, and there’s a feeling that there’ll be a big twist in the film, and the trailer isn’t giving too much away.

The film co-stars Sarah Goldberg, Evan Jonigkeit, Stacy Martin and Vondie Curtis Hall.

It’s due to release on 15 July 2021; check out the trailer below!
