The Team Behind ‘The Office’ is Back with New Series ‘Space Force’

The team behind the smash-hit TV series The Office have taken their highly anticipated next project to Netflix with the Steve Carrell-starring Space Force.

Steve Carrell plays General Mark R. Naird, a decorated pilot with ambitions of running the Air Force.

Instead, the American government has given him the task of fronting the newly created sixth branch of the US Armed Forces – Space Force.

Space Force is not taken seriously at all, though Naird and his peculiar team of scientists and ‘spacemen’ will give the project their best efforts.

Coming from the mind of The Office (US) creator Greg Daniels, alongside creative partner Steve Carrell, there is sure to be a lot of hilarity along the way.

Fans of The Office can be sure to expect a similar type of goofy humor to feature in Space Force, though we’re only given small glimpses of it in the trailer.

Space Force plays out more like a regular scripted TV show as opposed to the mockumentary style of The Office, so it will be interesting to see how that same humor will translate across to this style.

With the insane amount of comedic talent involved in this project, however, it is sure to be a hit.

Carrell is joined by John Malkovich, Diana Silvers, Tawny Newsome, Ben Schwartz, Lisa Kudrow, Jimmy O. Yang, Noah Emmerich, Alex Sparrow, and Don Lake in supporting roles.

Check out the trailer below and then head on over to Netflix and add Space Force to your queue!

It arrives on 29 May 2020.
