‘Pokemon’ Movie a GO

With the recent success of the new mobile game, a live-action Pokemon movie has been announced to no one’s surprise, with production due to begin in 2017.

Pokemon is all the craze at the moment, with the hugely popular release of the augmented reality Pokemon GO mobile game having been released recently.

The film rights have been snapped up by Legendary Pictures, who have produced many huge franchise films in the past, including  Jurassic World, Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Rises.

You’d think the property would be safe in their hands, but they did however also produce Warcraft more recently, which was a critical disaster, though at the end of the day all the film needs to do is make money, and it’s almost guaranteed to on name alone.

It’s a massive franchise that needs to be handled with care and we can only hope the video-game movie curse doesn’t strike here.

There’s no news on the plot at this time, however it’s known that the film will focus on Detective Pikachu, a new character in the Poke-universe.
