The new trailer for Deadpool 2 gives viewers a nice introduction to Josh Brolin’s Cable, along with some tongue-in-cheek humour, and plenty of violence.
One thing we (still) don’t get an indication of however is – the plot.
All of the marketing material for Deadpool 2 has been humour based so far, with only glimpses of action and a small look at the film’s heroes.
It would be interesting to see if a proper trailer comes out before the film’s release, but even if not, these funny videos promoting the movie are still sufficient, as it’s always nice to be surprised at the time you first watch a newly released film.
Brolan fits the part of the time-travelling mutant Cable exceptionally well; from his looks and demeanour, and the actor’s acting chops – the casting agents on this one should be applauded.
The first Deadpool film was a massive success when it was released in 2016, and Fox looks to follow on that same path with the sequel.
From the little we’ve seen, it seems as though they’re certainly on target to get there.
The film is directed by David Leitch and starring alongside Ryan Reynolds and Josh Brolin are Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller, Leslie Uggams, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapičić, Zazie Beetz, Josh Brolin, Jack Kesy and Karan Soni.
It hits cinemas on 18 May 2018 in the US.
