The stakes are higher, the punches are harder and there’s more to lose than ever before in the first trailer for Creed II starring Michael B. Jordan.

The Creed II trailer hit the web overnight, previewing the anticipated follow up to 2015’s smash hit Creed.

Michael B. Jordan reprises the title role in the film opposite co-stars Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris, Russell Hornsby, Florian ‘Big Nasty’ Munteanu, Andre Ward, Phylicia Rashad, and Dolph Lundgren.

Steven Caple Jr. directs from Stallone’s screenplay.

The Creed movies continue the hit Rocky franchise, with Stallone reprising the role of the infamous Rocky Balboa.

Jordan plays Adonis Creed, the son of Rocky’s late friend and former rival Apollo Creed (made famous by actor Carl Weathers in the early Rocky films).

Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed; between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life.

Facing an opponent with ties to his family’s past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring.

Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what’s worth fighting for, and discover that nothing’s more important than family.

Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can’t escape your history.

Keep an eye out for Creed II when it hits cinemas this November.

A film tragic from way back, the only thing I love more than watching movies is writing about them! Deserted Island Movie Collection: I'd take David Fincher's catalogue of films for sure. No one sucks me into the world of the film quite like Fincher does. Best Movie Snack: Chocolate, without a doubt!
