The truly absurd trailer for Jay and Silent Bob Reboot has dropped, featuring what seems like an endless amount of celebrity cameos.
In this sequel to Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001), Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Kevin Smith) lose the rights to their names over a film reboot of the fictional ‘Bluntman and Chronic’ comic book characters and then set out across America in an effort to stop the film being made.
Along the way, Jay discovers he has a love-child (played Harley Quinn Smith) and learns some lessons about fatherhood.
On their journey, the two stoner dudes encounter several characters from the View Askewniverse (characters that have appeared in past Kevin Smith films that feature in the same universe as Jay and Silent Bob), who are all played by some very familiar faces.
Faces like Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jason Lee, Shannon Elizabeth and Rosario Dawson just to name a small few, not to mention a whole bevy of new additions of popular celebs that make a cameo here.
As far as the humour in this film goes, it’s mostly of the juvenile kind and as fans of Smith and these characters know, it’s exactly what’s expected.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot hits cinemas some time in 2019.
