Gen 1 Designs Alongside Modern Animation in New ‘Transformers’ Series

The Gen 1 designs of the Transformers are without a doubt the best in the franchise’s history and they look even better in the upcoming Netflix animated series, Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy – Siege.

The show is set in the hours leading up to the destructive civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons, as we follow faction leaders Optimus Prime and Megatron lead their troops in a battle for claim over their home planet, Cybertron.

The animation in the series looks super impressive and features the same Gen 1 character designs that were originally popularized in the 1984 animated TV series and toy line.

The character designs have been updated to meet current animation standards and look fantastic.

Furthermore, the series leans towards a darker, more adult-oriented tone, which should please audiences of all ages.

The series is made up of 14 episodes that run for 22 minutes each and is due to launch on Netflix on 30 July.

The accessibility of Netflix will allow Transformers fans, old and new, to enjoy a new iteration of the popular warring robots, and will certainly mean success for Hasbro and their new line of toys.
