Your favourite fuzzy singing creatures are back in the musical sequel film Sing 2, and it looks like a lot of fun.
The crooning Koala Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) and his fuzzy musical pals set out to convince the reclusive rock star Clay Calloway (Bono) to join them on stage to open a new show.
There’ll be several themes addressed along the way, including love, loss, and finding one’s place in the world, all set to a funky modern soundtrack.
Sing 2 is brought to us from the super famous animation studio, Illumination, who have brought us past animated movie classics like Despicable Me (2010), The Secret Life of Pets (2016), Minions (2015), and the first Sing film back in 2016.
The trailer introduces audiences to all the film’s key players and the brooding newcomer Clay Calloway, who appears to have renounced singing following the death of his partner.
There is perhaps too much plot in the trailer, making you wonder what the filmmakers have left for the end feature.
Nevertheless, Sing 2 looks like an excellent time for young and old.
The impressive voice cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Kroll, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Letitia Wright, Eric Andre, Chelsea Peretti and Bono.
Garth Jennings is back at the helm, and Sing 2 due to arrive in cinemas this December.
