The Final Trailer for Shane Black’s ‘The Predator’ Has Been Unleashed!

The original Predator was released in 1987 and was a defining film of that decade, detailing the battle between a United States Special Forces Team and an alien lifeform that hunts humans for fun.

Directed by John McTiernan and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as its leading action man, it was a worldwide hit which propelled Schwarzenegger into the upper echelons of superstardom.

Fast forward to 2018 and after many sequels and some questionable spin-offs over the years (Alien vs Predator anyone?), we can expect a new instalment to hit cinema screens on 13 September 2018.

When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to earth, only a group of brave, unhinged ex-soldiers stand in the way of The Predator and total world devastation.

The Predator has evolved using the DNA of another species (I would expect nothing else) to become faster, meaner, stronger and ready to hunt.

Director Shane Black has confirmed that The Predator is a continuation of the first two movies and is not a reboot.

Also, Black said there is a reference in the script as to why the film has a singular title, which may be an exciting tidbit for any die-hard fans.

The Predator cast features Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Yvonne Strahovski.

The final trailer is ticking some boxes; action, humour, the iconic three-pronged laser aim and those essential vagina-face Predator close-ups.

I’m pretty sure nothing can live up to the original classic but if its got a technically and physically superior being that can can turn INVISIBLE, I’m down to watch.
