Professional wrestling fans are in for a treat with the trailer for Fighting with My Family dropping today, based on the life of WWE Diva Paige.
Based on a true story, the film follows brother and sister wrestling duo Raya and Zak Knight (Florence Pugh and Jack Lowden) as they get the opportunity of their dreams to try out for the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).
The film’s first trailer sees the pair get called up for trials, much to their delight, but also to their chagrin when only Raya is called on to the next stage with Zak missing out.
The rest is history, as wrestling fans know that Raya went on to superstardom as the WWE Diva, Paige.
Fighting with My Family looks to have it all, judging by the first trailer.
There’s plenty of humour as well as heartwarming, dramatic moments.
Making it to the top of the WWE (or even the bottom for that matter) is a tumultuous task for any budding wrestler, and it looks like the film will cover the highs and lows that come with the process.
The film is directed by funnyman Stephen Merchant and features a great cast that includes Nick Frost, Lena Heady, Vince Vaughn and of course, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who also serves as producer.
Fighting with My Family is due out in cinemas on 1 March 2019.
