Denzel Washington plays a harmless-looking Lyft driver that secretly dishes out some brutal vigilante justice when called for in The Equalizer 2.
Washington reprises his role as the unassuming human weapon Robert McCall, who’s back to his vengeful ways after a friend of his is murdered.
The Equalizer 2 sees director Antoine Fuqua re-team with Denzel Washington in what is the first sequel in both of their respective careers.
The first Equalizer film was a bit of an entertaining, underrated action-thriller when it first released in 2014 but has obviously garnered enough interest from Sony Pictures to call for a sequel, which can only be of benefit to the fans.
And the film looks great.
The new, second trailer is action-packed and features a lot of Denzel doing what he does best in roles like these.
Fans can be sure to expect a super-violent and entertaining revenge action-thriller here, much like the first film.
The Equalizer 2 co-stars Melissa Leo, Pedro Pascal and Bill Pullman and is due for release on 19 July 2018.
