Stranger Things standout Millie Bobby Brown spearheads a new potential franchise as Enola Holmes, aka the sister of a certain super sleuth.
Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola Holmes, the teenage sister of the world famous crime-solver Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill), who after discovering her mother has gone missing, sets out on an adventure to find her.
Enola will have to outwit her brothers (Mycroft Holmes played by Sam Claflin is also here) while trying to adapt to societal standards for women of the time, (to which she uses to her benefit in tracking down her missing mother), while uncovering a mystery and fighting bad guys along the way.
This new adventure film for Netflix looks like a lot of fun and Bobby Brown certainly looks to be having a good time as this character, while superbly carrying the weight of the film on her shoulders.
The supporting cast looks great, though this film is all Millie Bobby Brown so fans of the young actress should enjoy this.
The film is directed by Harry Bradbeer, a TV director noted for directing the successful, irreverent TV series Fleabag, which explains the breaking of the fourth wall we see in the trailer.
Enola Holmes hits Netflix on 23 September 2020 and you can access it here!
