A trailer has been released for the upcoming action film Blood Father starring Mel Gibson, Erin Moriarty and William H. Macy.
This looks like a pretty typical action film in which the lead character has to protect their offspring from dangerous criminals out to hurt them.
That doesn’t necessarily mean it will be bad, if it’s done correctly that is. Going by the trailer it appears there will be emphasis on the father-daughter relationship as well as a bucket-load of action.
It’s good to see Mel Gibson back on the big screen as it feels like we haven’t seen him in anything new in a while, his last film being The Expendables 3 in 2014.
The film also stars Erin Moriarty, the excellent William H. Macy and Diego Luna. It’s directed by Jean-François Richet, whose last English-language feature film was 2005’s Assault on Precinct 13, which was pretty good.
Check out the trailer and poster for the film below and let us know in the comments if you’e looking forward to seeing Mel doing what he does best in Blood Father.
The film is out on 25 Aug 2016 in Australian cinemas.
