There’s Some Gorgeous Animation in the Apple Original ‘Wolfwalkers’

From the Irish animation studio, Cartoon Saloon comes the new Apple Original film, Wolfwalkers, which features some stunning, vivid animation.

Wolfwalkers follows the young huntress, Robyn Goodfellowe (Honor Kneafsey), and her father as they arrive in Ireland to hunt down and kill the last wolfpack.

Along the way, Robyn meets and befriends the mysterious girl Mebh (Eva Whittaker), who is what’s known as a ‘wolfwalker’, a person that is human by day and wolf by night.

Mebh opens Robyn’s eyes to a new world full of culture and magic, where men and wolves live side-by-side.

This sends Robyn on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to convince her father that the cultures can co-exist, and save the wolves.

There are a lot of profound themes beneath the surface of Wolfwalkers, with an emphasis on acceptance, and friendship between cultures and creeds.

This all set to some gorgeous animation from the studio that has delivered some highly-adored animated films, including Song of the Sea (2014), and the Oscar-nominated The Breadwinner (2017).

Wolfwalkers is due to make its theatrical debut on 13 November 2020, before the Apple Original movie arrives digitally, and exclusively on Apple TV+.
