The Allied teaser trailer appears to have come out of nowhere, a WW2 romance-drama starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard.
The short trailer reveals the 1942 wartime setting, which tells the story of an intelligence officer played here by Pitt, who encounters a French Resistance fighter played by Cotillard, after which they form a romantic relationship.
The film features two of the best working actors today and is directed by Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis, whose past credits include Cast Away, Forrest Gump and Back to the Future.
Combine the acting and directing talents and this film should turn out great, maybe even good enough to nab Pitt that oh so elusive Oscar he’s due.
The teaser to the film looks very interesting and it appears it will have it all, action, thrills, romance and intrigue.
It’s due for release on 23 November 2016 in the USA.
The story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Brad Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
