An official prologue video has been released for Alien: Covenant, that reveals what happened to the two main characters at the end of Prometheus (2012).
The video reveals what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) and the synthetic android David (Michael Fassbender) after escaping near-death when their ship the Prometheus was destroyed at the end of the first film.
Apparently this clip won’t be shown at the start of Covenant, so this is your chance to find out that information.
It’s a nice little teaser to keep you interested in the release of Covenant, but the video overall is a bit underwhelming and I have a feeling the story in Covenant will allude to what happened to these characters anyway.
However the video below does reveal some interesting footage that opens up some new questions, which I guess is the point.
Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir and James Franco.
Ridley Scott returns to direct this follow-up to his 2012 film Prometheus, and from everything I’ve seen so far, it looks like Covenant is heading towards the original horror-style of the first Alien film.
It’s due for release in Australian cinemas on 18 May 2017.
