Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile is the new film from Joe Berlinger about America’s most notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, played by Zac Efron.

Ted Bundy shocked America and the world after being caught for committing at least 30 murders between 1974-1978 (that he confessed to anyway, the number could be higher).

The first teaser for Joe Berlinger’s new film gives us a glimpse at the events that take place in the film as well as a closer look at Zac Efron’s portrayal of the charismatic killer.

Berlinger is best known as a documentary director, also having recently completed a 4-part docu-series on the infamous killer, which you can watch now on Netflix.

The film is told from the perspective of Bundy’s long-time girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe he committed the crimes for years.

Bundy himself denied the accusations for 10 years before eventually admitting to them.

Serial killer movies have always had a great following amongst film fans, though there hasn’t been a memorable one in a while.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile could be the film fans have been waiting for to fill the void since 2007’s Zodiac, which is arguably the best, last serial killer film based on a famous American villain.

The film also stars Lily Collins, John Malkovich, Haley Joel Osment and Jim Parsons and is due for release some time soon in 2019.
