The third film in the Planet of the Apes franchise reboot series – War for the Planet of the Apes gets an impressive first trailer.
In War for the Planet of the Apes, Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his troupe of ape brethren battle the human forces led by a ruthless Colonel (Woody Harrelson) for the last time, with the fate of the world at stake.
This first trailer promises loads of action, with the basic premised outlined, and sets the tone of the film which fits in line with the two films that came before it.
However this third, and likely final instalment of the franchise will more than likely be the most epic, as the apes and humans are set to do battle for control of the world.
The first two films in the series were highly entertaining and it looks like this one will follow that trend.
One thing of note is the awesome creature-effects in this film, which have been excellent from the start, and have progressively gotten better over the course of the first two films.
Andy Serkis returns as the ape leader Caesar and we also get the great inclusion of Woody Harrelson as the film’s lead villain.
Matt Reeves is back in the director’s chair on this one as well, after having directed the last Apes film to much praise.
War for the Planet of the Apes is due for release on 14 July 2017 in the USA, check out the first trailer below.
