Affleck posted a video today revealing a potential new villain for Justice League, as well as what could be the main villain in his own Batman film.
The character Deathstroke appears in what looks like a piece of test footage posted by Affleck earlier today.
The initial rumour was that the character would be added as a villain to the upcoming Justice League film, however The Wrap now reports that the character will be facing off against Batman in the Affleck-directed standalone film.
They claim that the news came from an inside source and though it’s not official, based on the video below, it’s almost certain Deathstroke will appear in the DC cinematic universe at some point soon.

The character first appeared in the DC Comics property The Teen Titans as a villainous mercenary and assassin, with powers not unlike Batman’s own which include having super-strength, possessing heightened speed, stamina, endurance and reflexes, as well as being versed in various martial arts.
Sounds like a good fit for a Batman villain and it will be good to see a new character for the hero to take on in his upcoming film.
