In case you missed them, here are new trailers for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, IT, The Book of Henry and War for the Planet of the Apes.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets – Trailer 2
Director Luc Besson is back in the director’s chair for his latest space opera Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The film could very well be the spiritual successor to his 1997 cult-classic film The Fifth Element, which was awesome. Valerian follows suit in that it appears to be a feast for the senses, with some gorgeous imagery, dynamic use of colours and well thought-out world building. Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne and Clive Owen lead the cast.
Stephen King’s classic novel IT is getting a new film adaptation, and the first full length trailer below showcases what is sure to be nightmare fuel for the current generation of kids (and let’s face it, probably most adults too). Directed by Andrés Muschietti and starring up-and-coming star Will Poulter as the evil clown Pennywise, the creepy first trailer for IT delivers the goods in what could be one of 2017’s scariest horrors.
The Book of Henry
Colin Trevorrow’s latest drama/mystery film stars Naomi Watts, Dean Norris and young star Jacob Tremblay about a single mother raising a child genius. The first trailer starts off with a light tone but quickly turns dark, in what could be a surprise hit for the 2017 film season. Trevorrow also has recently signed on to direct 2019’s Star Wars: Episode 9, so he’s definitely a director to keep an eye on.
War for the Planet of the Apes
The final film in the modern Apes trilogy of films gets it’s first full-length trailer and it doesn’t disappoint. Fans of the all-time classic film Planet of the Apes (1968) know how this one ends, but the journey there looks fantastic. Matt Reeves directs Woody Harrelson in this action-packed finale to the saga, in what appears to be the most epic film in the series.
