The Sydney Underground Film Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, showcasing a number of intriguing films and runs from 15 – 18 September.
The festival will showcase a range of feature films and documentaries from different genres, including a number of horrors that look interesting.
Some of the films that catch the eye include the Danny De Vito starring Wiener-Dog, the trippy horror film Antibirth with Natasha Lyonne, I Am Not a Serial Killer which features the great Christopher Lloyd, the documentary on legendary film director Brian De Palma, simply title De Palma, and a documentary on the best-worst movie ever made, The Room, called Room Full of Spoons.
The most interesting one here is Room Full of Spoons, as the film’s subject and star of the cult classic The Room, Tommy Wiseau has been trying to get the film banned from screening at independent theatres.
Now anyone that knows anything about that actor knows that he’s an extreme eccentric, so it will be interesting to see how deep the documentary delves into the life of the actor and the production of his film.
The festival will run between the 15th and 18th of September and all screenings will be held at The Factory Theatre in Marrickville, NSW.
Check out the trailers of the above films below and the full lineup of films screening over the four days, as well as tickets can be accessed from the SUFF official website, also below.
