UFC Champ Rob Whittaker Teaches NRL Legend Lote Tuqiri Karate

As part of the promotion for The LEGO Ninjago Movie, UFC Champion Rob Whittaker gives NRL legend Lote Tuqiri a karate lesson.

The humorous video sees current interim Middleweight UFC Champion Robert Whittaker give former NRL player Lote Tuqiri a lesson in karate, and humility.

Tuqiri explains he’s doing it to impress his son (also featured in the video), but in the end they simply decide it’s probably best they just go see the movie instead.

The LEGO Ninjago movie opens up across Australian cinemas on 21 September 2017, and continues the line of successful LEGO-based animated films, that began with The LEGO Movie (2014), and more recently, The LEGO Batman Movie (2017 – see my review here).

Ninjago will feature the ninja mythology created in the product line and TV-series of the same name, and will follow the story of Lloyd (Dave Franco) as he and his fellow ninja friends fight to save Ninjago City, from the evil warlord Garmadon (Justin Theroux), who also happens to be Lloyd’s dad.

Along with the usual style of humour we can expect from the LEGO films, there will be themes of family and acceptance; themes accessible to audiences of all ages.

If you haven’t already, you can watch the trailer for The LEGO Ninjago Movie here, as well as a recent featurette with all the voice actors, here.

Check out the video below, and let us know in the comments if you’re a fan of Rob Whittaker and Lote Tuqiri, and if you plan to see the movie.
