‘The Nutcracker and the Four Realms’ – New Disney Movie Trailer

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms trailer

The recently released teaser trailer for new Disney fantasy film The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, initially came over eleven months before the film is set to hit cinemas in November of this year, creating early hype for Disney’s newest live action fairytale film.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms features an all-star cast with the young Mackenzie Foy playing Clara, Keira Knightly as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Helen Mirren as Mother Ginger and Morgan Freeman as Drosselmeyer.

The film retells the traditional fairytale of the The Nutcracker and the Mouse King written in 1816 by German author E.T.A Hoffman, which tells the story of a little girl whose favourite Christmas toy, her Nutcracker, comes alive and takes her to a new and magical land.

The film takes this original story and turns it into a Disney-style extravaganza, featuring an action-packed retelling of the traditional story, following main character Clara and her travels through a magical land she finds herself in.

The Nutcracker and the Four Realms is obviously set to be a blockbuster considering the cast and budget, but only time will tell if the pull of the cast and Disney brand will be enough for the film to be successful, as the story itself may not appeal to the younger generations alone.

The film will be released on 2 November 2018 in the US, check out the trailer below.
