The new, official trailer for Shane Black’s The Predator has dropped, giving us a look at a new and improved Predator that lands on Earth.
When the Predators land in a suburban town on Earth, a team of mercenaries must protect the human race from the alien killing machines.
The new trailer reveals some more of the film’s plot, with the most notable inclusion of a new type of Predator.
This new Predator looks similar to the original design but is somewhat more imposing and vicious looking.
The trailer doesn’t give away much more, other than a look at the team of mercenaries leading the fight against the murderous aliens.
Sterling K. Brown and Boyd Holbrook lead the human cast that also includes Olivia Munn, Thomas Jane, Keegan-Michael Key, Alfie Allen and Jacob Tremblay.
Some of the dialogue in this new trailer felt very corny, which is a concern, however, considering Shane Black is directing the film there’s still some hope.
Black’s films include Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Iron Man 3 (2013) and The Nice Guys (2016), all of which made for entertaining viewing.
The Predator film franchise is a coveted one, and it would be a shame if this new reboot were to fall flat.
We’ll find out when the film releases on 13 September 2018.
