Melissa McCarthy Stars in New Comedy Film ‘Life of the Party’ – Trailer

Melissa McCarthy movies

There is no one who makes me laugh quite so much as Melissa McCarthy and I am excited to see her back on the big screen in all of her hilarious glory in Life of the Party.

The film is about a mother who, having dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mum only to be dumped unexpectedly by her husband, ends up enrolled in the same class and college as her daughter.

From the looks of the trailer, her daughter doesn’t seem to be overly thrown by the situation and instead encourages her mother to explore this new life of freedom.

In doing so, she discovers a side of her mother that is vastly different to the plain, frumpy one that she grew up with.

Melissa McCarthy’s character wholeheartedly embraces the adventure of college and truly lives up to that ‘student’ stereotype.

The Life of the Party trailer had me in fits right from the get-go and I cannot wait to see the movie once it comes out in cinemas.

I know that it’s going to be one of those feel-good films that has the entire audience laughing, as all of McCarthy’s movies have done thus far.

The film is directed by Ben Falcone and also stars Molly Gordon, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Debby Ryan, Stephen Root and Jacki Weaver.

Keep an eye out for this one, folks, it’s going to be a riot!

Life of the Party hits cinemas on 11 May 2018 in the US.
