Based on the popular stage production which toured in the UK and then around Australia, Ghost Stories comes to life on the big screen from the creators of The League of Gentlemen (who also wrote and produced the play), and starring Martin Freeman.
In what can be considered an anthology horror film with three different tales told with the same lead character, a sceptical Professor called Phillip Goodman (Andy Nyman) investigates each haunting, with his motive being to debunk the supernatural with scientific explanations.
Needless to say judging by the trailer, it doesn’t exactly go in his favour.
If you are familiar with the cult UK show The League of Gentlemen, then you’ll have an idea where this could possibly go; dark with an underlining of very black humour, which if done right can be very entertaining.
With the ever reliable Martin Freeman on board, it’s safe to say that this is one horror film to keep an eye out for when it’s released on 13 April 2018 in the UK (no word as yet for an Australian release).
