‘Kong: Skull Island’ – New Poster and Image

A new image of the cast of the upcoming monster film Kong: Skull Island as well as a cool new poster were revealed today.

The cast photo below features Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson, in front of the awesome ensemble cast of the film, and the new poster features a posse of army-men walking into the dangerous territories of the giant ape known as Kong.

Kong: Skull Island will be the latest movie adaptation on the King Kong lore, in what will likely be a set up for another film where Kong will face the other king of the monsters – Godzilla.

The last iteration of the popular monster was Peter Jackson’s King Kong (2005), which was a more classic take on the mythology of the beast, however this new film looks like it will completely step away from that storyline.

If you haven’t seen the first trailer for this one yet, check it out here.

That first trailer looked incredible, and really set up Kong as a more typical, horrifying movie monster, as opposed to the original regal-beast-oppressed-by-man classic version.

Couple that with the film’s outstanding cast and gorgeous cinematography, Kong: Skull Island really looks like it could be one of the better blockbusters to come out of 2017.

The film is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts, whose only past feature film was the 2013 comedy The Kings of Summer, so it will be interesting to see how he can handle a beloved property like this, on such a grand scale.

Kong: Skull Island is due for release on 10 March 2017 in Australia.

Check out the new image and poster below.
