‘Fantastic Beasts’ – IMAX Fan Event Featurette and Live Q&A Video

fan event

Check out the new featurette for the film that premiered at the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them IMAX Fan Event which took place earlier today.

The fan event featured a live Q&A from London and Los Angeles, with the film’s cast and crew in attendance to answer questions from fans around the world via live satellite.

In attendance in London were Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, director David Yates and producer David Heyman, and in attendance in Los Angeles were Colin Farrell and Jon Voight.

Further news out of today’s event was that J.K. Rowling, the author of the book the film is based on, has announced that the Fantastic Beasts film series will run over a course of at least 5 films!

Which is no surprise considering the state of the film industry in Hollywood at the moment, with any new franchise spawning at least a trilogy of films, however it is good news for Harry Potter and Rowling fans.

The official synopsis for the film is as follows:

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Check out the new featurette below that features the cast and crew of the film talk about the film’s story, alongside what appears to be some new footage.

Below that you can watch the entire live stream from the Q&A fan event for anyone that may have missed it this morning.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them releases on 17 November 2016 in Australia.
