The short video features a look at some of the supporting characters and villains in Doctor Strange, with excerpts from the actors that play them.
The characters Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor), The Ancient One (Tilda Swinton) and the villain Kaecilius (Mads Mikkelsen) are touched upon in the video, with an ever-so-slight amount of insight into their characters.
Doctor Strange rounds out the year as the last superhero-genre film to come of Marvel Studios, the biggest player in that genre.
Their last film, Captain America: Civil War was released earlier in the year and pleased fans and critics alike, and it looks like their latest one could do the same.
Doctor Strange has one of the finest lineups of talent we’ve seen in any Marvel film, as Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen could all be classified as actor’s actors, having starred in numerous high-quality films between them.
The talent is there, so it will now come down to whether or not the story can hold up, and considering this character is a new introduction to the Marvel cinematic universe, at the very least it could feel fresh.
Marvel’s films have a tendency to all feel the same after a while, but Doctor Strange is aiming for a bit of a surreal, magic-themed style, which will be exciting to see.
The film is directed by Scott Derrickson and is due for release in Australian cinemas on 27 October 2016.
