‘Doctor Strange’ IMAX Sneak Peek and New Video

Marvel Studios has announced a special first-look IMAX 3D event, featuring approximately 15 minutes of exclusive footage from Doctor Strange.

Marvel Studios’ Expand Your Mind: An IMAX 3D Exclusive First Look sneak peek will be showcased in only 2 cinema locations across Australia on October 11, 2016, at 6:30p.m.

The screenings will be held at IMAX 3D in Melbourne, Victoria and IMAX 3D at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, Sydney NSW.

Commenting on the exclusive footage, director Scott Derrickson had this to say:

“As a movie fan, I am thrilled to take audiences along on the visual journey of ‘Doctor Strange’ and give them an early peek at what we’ve been working on. The completed film will feature more than an hour of specially formatted IMAX sequences that will provide audiences with a totally immersive—and mind-blowing—film-going experience and I’m excited to share a taste of that with our fans on 11/10.”

Fans can get tickets to the October 11th exclusive first-look event via the Marvel social media competition as of Monday 3rd October at 10:00 a.m. AEST.

Lucky fans who attend this exclusive sneak peek will also receive a limited-edition, collectible Doctor Strange IMAX poster.

This sounds like an awesome treat for all Marvel fans, having the opportunity to see a glimpse of the upcoming movie and be part of a special event.

Doctor Strange looks like it will be a blend of classic Marvel-style storytelling, with the added elements of magic and surrealism, which is a nice touch, and a considerable difference to what we’ve seen so far from them.

The best thing about Doctor Strange though is its cast.

This film has the greatest cast assembled for any Marvel movie in my opinion, featuring high-grade acting talents like Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Rachel McAdams, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Mads Mikkelsen.

That list of talent can make any film they appear in together very appealing, let alone a massive tentpole film.

Check out the newly released video below that features some of the awesome, surreal imagery that we can expect from the film while we wait for its release in Australian cinemas on October 27, 2016.
