A funny trailer has dropped for the upcoming comedy film The Breaker Upperers, brought to us from New Zealand producer/director Taika Waititi.
The film follows the story of two best friends (Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami) who run a business breaking-up couples for money.
However things go pear-shape when one of the friends falls for a client, with hilarious results.
The Breaker Upperers is written and directed by its lead-actors Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami, and they appear to be naturals in front of the camera as well as behind it.
The film comes to us from the same producers of various other New Zealand-made comedies such as Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016), Boy (2010) and Eagle vs. Shark (2007).
Prominent Kiwi director Taika Waititi serves as executive producer on the film, who most recently made a splash in Hollywood, having directed the popular Marvel film Thor: Ragnarok (2017).
Fans of the above movies and other similar comedies should be in for a treat, as the film features the classic New Zealand wit.
Along with Van Beek and Sami, the film stars James Rolleston, Rima Te Wiata, Cohen Holloway and Oscar Kightley.
The film will have its world premier at the SXSW Festival in Austin (USA) in March, and will likely release in Australia later this year.
