A new poster has been released for the upcoming live-action Disney film Beauty and the Beast, scheduled for release in March 2017 and starring Emma Watson as Belle.
Neither the new poster and teaser trailer (released a few weeks ago) reveal much about the film and only give away a slight glimpse into the visual style of the film, which looks cool but is also pretty typical Disney.
What we do know about the film is that it has an excellent cast, including Emma Watson as Belle, Luke Evans as Gaston and Dan Stevens as the beast.
They’re supported by a long list of talented actors including Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, Stanley Tucci, Josh Gad and Kevin Kline.
Disney certainly has a knack for casting that’s for sure.
The film is directed by Bill Condon, whose two most recent films were Mr. Holmes and The Fifth Estate, but he also directed both parts of Twilight: Breaking Dawn.
The Twilight films were pretty horrible, so we’re hoping he can do this property justice.
Check out the poster and teaser trailer below and let us know in the comments if you think a live action Beauty and the Beast needed to be made, as I’m sure the original animation would hold a special place in a lot of people’s hearts.
An adaptation of the classic fairy-tale about a monstrous prince and a young woman who fall in love.
