One Last Hurrah for the Boys in ‘Bad Boys for Life’ Trailer

bad boys for life trailer

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as rebel cops in the long-awaited upcoming sequel, Bad Boys for Life.

Bad Boys for Life sees Smith’s Detective Mike Lowery and Lawrence’s Detective Marcus Burnett reunite for one last go at the whole policing business.

Lowery is facing a midlife crisis while Burnett has gone on to become a police inspector as the two team up to take down a new criminal enterprise.

The trailer for the film features everything you’d expect from a Bad Boys sequel including plenty of action and comedic wit.

The chemistry between Smith and Lawrence looks as natural as ever, considering it’s been 16 years since Bad Boys II (2003).

Michael Bay directed the first two Bad Boys films and while he’s not directing this one, his style has been adopted by directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.

You may not have heard of those directors before and no one would blame you for it, as they’re relatively new on the scene, having only directed a few prior feature films that nobody would have heard of.

Nevertheless, they seem to be a natural fit for this type of film based on the trailer.

There’s also a sexy new Porsche featured in the film, a modern-day model to rival Will Smith’s classic ride in the original Bad Boys (1995).

Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, Charles Melton, Paola Nunez, Kate Del Castillo, Nicky Jam and Joe Pantoliano co-star and the film is scheduled for release on 16 January 2020.
