‘Pain and Glory’ Trailer Sees Antonio Banderas on an Existential Journey

Antonio Banderas stars in Pain and Glory, a film which earned him a best actor award at 2019’s Cannes Film Festival.

In the film, Banderas plays a veteran filmmaker who has not been able to work due to multiple health ailments.

This fact causes him to reflect on his life – an effort that will bring about his salvation.

We can see from the film’s trailer that Antonio Banderas looks to be in career-best form here, fitting of his award.

Pain and Glory’s story and themes are that of a profound nature and you can certainly get the sense of that it in this trailer.

It looks like a film that will cause its audience to reflect upon their own lives and try to make amends where needed.

It’s a powerful thought and one that truely expresses the magic of cinema and storytelling.

Penelope Cruz co-stars and Pedro Almodóvar directs, with the director and star re-teaming after their work together on The Skin I Live In (2011), which was fantastic.

This looks like one not to be missed for all film-lovers, so be sure to check out Pain and Glory  when it releases across cinemas on 7 November 2019.
