The creepy and spooky Addams Family are set to return to the big screen in animated form in the upcoming The Addams Family.
The first teaser trailer for the film doesn’t reveal any of the plot, rather it’s here to set the tone of the peculiar brand of humour associated with the classic, ghoulish family.
It looks like old fans and potential new ones will be in for a treat with this new animation, as it seems to have plenty of charm and wit, along with a cute visual style.
The Addams Family have been around for decades, making their first appearance in The New Yorker newspaper as a comic-strip, starting way back in 1938.
Since then, they’ve seen numerous TV adaptations along with three movies throughout the ’90s that famously starred Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd and Christina Ricci.
The final film in the trilogy was released in 1998, so it’s been a long wait for the next rendition of the popular family.
The Addams Family features the voice talents of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Bette Midler, and Allison Janney.
It’s due for release on 11 October 2019.
